I was amazed at the amount of detail this had being on such a small scale.

We decided to go down to see some of the historic parts of Tuscon and OTA was a good place to look.

The wall thickness is amazing a foot or more in most cases.

Liked the clouds...

I was being silly and got caught in the act...

This was in the center of the shops in the OTA. Kinda like a courtyard I suppose...

I was amazed at the detail on this building...

and the waves this one had with the brick work.

Flight to Tucson

I normally don't get lucky with shooting out of the plane window but these came out really cool!

Mount Rainer as we flew by going south.

Kaia and I thought this was interesting to see the moon this way.

Settling In...

When we got in we settled in and I took a few shots outside of some of the flowers in the backyard.

I-90 - East Portal

We started out with the idea to check out the colors at the Japanese Garden but found it to be closed :(

So being close to downtown, dad wanted to show me another favorite spot or good view he had found in his travels.

The I-90 floating bridge with Cascades in background. Could you imagine waking up and seeing mountains or even better the summer sunset colors everyday....

Just above the tunnel going to downtown Seattle there is a bike tunnel ...

and there is another level beneath the incoming traffic.

In the above pic - Dad is the box which to which looking toward me taking the picture would yield the picture below. I was on the bike path at the red arrow to make the above shot....

Maybe a bit of perspective...

I liked out the vines were growing on this structure... just looked cool.

Pets - Behavior

I was working on my Detailing coarse work in my last semster at ECC and I spread everything out in a room. After I got settled, EVERYTIME, Twister (below) would lay on my drawings preventing me from seeing what revisons I needed to do. So I would move him and then he would go right back on the drawings. This got frustrating at times because then the other two would join in sometimes. I was amzed at how they missed me being around and there need for attention more so than a dog might (in my opinion). They are great pets and have forever changed me in a postive way...

Soco (the cat) was my favorite. It was never a secret! (although Jack evened it out in time)...I was amazed how he would "strut" his stuff at the dog (Jack). It amazes me how different species can exist peacefully...

I was very happy how this turned out. I made it out of raw materials with a template from a magazine. I used Douglad Fir, Cedar, and SYP 5 ply (3/4") Ply which I think worked well to highlight or contrast each other. Mom was happy too... no more banging your arm on it on the way in the house. :)

I can't remember the actual colors of the sky after a cold front came threw really quick, but it has alot of reds with the deep blue sky peeking through.

Old Fort Niagara

This is the main entrance. One the other side is a dried up moat and you can just make out the cannon on the berm in the upper left corner.

As you turn around from the picture above this is the scene. The French Castle in the distance...

The cannons are gone but imagine how it would have been to have them there... and even better firing live ammo.

I liked how the retaining wall continues to the French Castle and everyting is very angular.

Where most troops stayed in the attice of the Frech Castle in the Fort.

I took this imagining it full of troops eating a meal, fire roaring, chatter of the weather. It must have been very different in comparsion to how we live today.

It was a beautiful day...

It did not even see the North arrow until I was going back down the stairs..lol
I liked the masonry work and the feeling that this has been here for a long time. The dates of old girlfriends and boyfriends etched in the wood and stone.

I was trying to get the dog with the sun while running. I was a just bit slow...

Obviously I got the moon on a few shots. The time frame was from 3:30ish to 5, sunset was at about 5:30ish, and low tide about 7ish.

I took so many shots of the water coming in and the sunset.
This crab was saved from the seagulls. They lay eggs in the sand but might get uncovered by someone trying to find clams.
This guy was not so lucky...

This has that postcard look. I liked how the sky looked and the glass reflecting the glare of the sun...Footprints in the sand...
Gave me the feeling of a summer party. Like you should see a volleyball net, a cooler with beer bottles, and women tanning, just not here on this day.
I was going for the shadows of me and "the professional" but I also liked how the sun had deepen the brush with a redish hue.
The sand colors interested me here or the appearance/ feeling of it being washed away or erased. The footprints will when the tide returns and the evidence of me being there will be erased too...
